Do not touch it

How to write a cinquain poem

In a cinquain poem you need to choose a topic – that will be the first line of the poem, one word.
On the second line you need to have two words that describe your topic.
On the third line you need to have three words (verb) that end with -ing.
On the fourth line you need to have a little sentence (4-5 words)
And finally the last line you need to have one word that connects to your topic (first line).

I started by planning I needed to think a lot about my poem.

The first line has one word.

The second line has two words that are connected with the title (these describe the first line).

The third line has three words (action words) but all of them end with ‘ing’

The next line has a little sentence.

The last line has one or two words connected to the first line.

Cinquain poem – Ivana😍

I am learning how to write a cinquain poem.

The first line is one  word to name the poem.

The second line describes the first line and it has two words – adjectives that describe the first word

If you have noticed all the words in the third line end with -ing and are 3 verbs.

The fourth line describes the sentences (a thought not necessarily a complete sentence).

The last line is one word that means the same as the first line.

This is my poem:

Holiday – Achebe

This work show me practicing a visible thinking routine called
” colour, symbol, image”

I went to the beach: I was swimming 🏊 in the sea 🌊 . The waves went over me.
I swam over the waves.
I went to sleep 😴 at hotel because I like to sleep at hotel. I was watching tv 📺
and I played with my mom’s phone 📱. I saw a fish 🐟 in the sea 🌊 and my friend saw it
too.  We told it  to our sister.

That photo up there shows my thinking 💭 .

I think I had a holiday that was a mix of colors. I chose brown because I played with a dog 🐶 at my friends house 🏡 and I just think that brown represents dogs 🐕. I chose yellow because I stayed at a beach 🌊 with my friend the yellow represents the sand on the beach and the happiness I felt. I  chose blue to represent the blue skies .

I chose that ⭐️ because all of the colors represent all of the different places I have been to in the holidays (my friends house 🏡 the beach 🌊 my house)

I chose that image because me and my friend played together at the beach a lot.

The photo above shows my thinking and my understanding. I chose yellow for color because it was really light and shiny at the party.

I chose a heart ❤️ for symbol because the party 🎉 was lovely  and the decorations  too. The good part was that kids could dance 💃🏽 .

I chose a cake 🎂 for the image because the cake was so good. The funny part was that there was only one piece left we were all fighting for the last piece. But no one could get it 😮.
