Students learned about color theory and completed their checklist including primary colors, secondary colors, warm/cool colors, complementary colors, and tints/shades of a color.
They learned about tempera paint, watercolor paint, and tempera cakes and experimented with these materials in their process portfolios. The PYP visual arts learning outcome that they are working with is: (creating) identify, plan, and make specific choices of materials, tools, and processes. Therefore, students chose the materials and tools they wanted to design a weaving plate.
